Our fleet contains one Ford transit van (call sign 80B5), four Ford 550 Horton ambulances (call signs 80B1, 80B2, 80B3, 80B4) and EMS Captain Car 8011. The Somers Fire District and Westchester EMS (WEMS) have been partners for approximately the last 10 years, providing the Somers Community with a 24 hour, 365 days a year, ambulance crew. Somers EMS responded to approximately 2,247 medical calls last year. Somers Volunteers work side by side with WEMS to ensure the best patient care possible for our community. Additionally, Westchester EMS supplies multiple Paramedics throughout Northern Westchester. They respond to the scene in a Paramedic fly car providing Advanced Life Support (ALS) interventions.
