Somers Fire and EMS worked together to stabilize and hoist the patient safely up the steep embankment. Units had to operate quickly due to area storms. Units operated for approximately 30 minutes to extricate the patient from the woods. The patient was transported to a local trauma center with non life threatening injuries.
