The Somers Fire District recently took delivery of a new 2023 Ford Transit “Medix” Ambulance! For the first time in history, SVFD has placed a 6th BLS ambulance in service. This ambulance will be designated as 80B6.

Somers EMS responded to approximately 2,220 medical calls last year, which means our ambulances are on the road A LOT. This will allow us to improve our service to the Somers community. 80B6  is equipped with a brand new powered Stryker stair chair,  a brand new Stryker stretcher, and other great equipment. This ambulance will be going front line in the coming days once a few more things are installed.
