The SVFD regrets to announce the passing of Ex-Chief / Life Member Raymond Baker Sr on Sunday March 10th, 2024. Ex-Chief Baker joined the SVFD in 2007 and was an active member for 7 years before joining Goldens Bridge Volunteer Fire Department in 2015. He served as Chief of Department of the SVFD in 2014. He was a retired Hartsdale firefighter, and he was also a Deputy Chief in Goldens Bridge Fire Department. He will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Baker family, his wife Ann, and his two sons Raymond Jr and Ryan.
