This year’s Fire Prevention Week theme is, “Smoke alarms: Make them work for you!” The goal behind this campaign is to educate everyone about the importance of having working smoke alarms in the home. The National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) has shared many safety tips, and the reason behind why having working smoke alarms are important. Remember - Install, Test, and Replace! If a fire breaks out in your home, you may only have a few minutes to get out safely. It is important to plan ahead! Plan a fire escape plan with your family.
