Description: Yesterday at 11:47 am, Somers Fire was dispatched to the area of Primrose Street for a large brush fire. Somers units arrived on location to find a 50 ft by 50 ft brush fire expanding rapidly with high winds and dry conditions. Additional mutual aid units were requested to the scene due to these conditions. Somers Fire and mutual aid units operated for approximately 3 hours before returning to service.
